Children of the Sun is the first quest that introduces players to Varlamore and the Twilight Emsissaries series. The completion of this quest is required to access Varlamore.

Length: Short

 

The Children of the Sun quest has no skill or item requirements.

 

General Questing recommendations

  • Enable RuneLite Quest Helper in your RuneLite plugin section. 
  • Hold your space bar to skip through NPC dialog, and use number keys for chatting dialog. 

 

Walkthrough of the Children of the Sun

  • Talk to Alina, east of Varrock Square. Reply 1, 3. Varrock teleport is the fastest way to get here.

Alina

  • Follow the guard slowly while hiding in the marked spots below before he turns back, or else you will fail. It’s best to turn off the run energy and move as the guard moves, since if he stays too far from you, you will fail. Follow the guard until he enters the building below.

  • Talk to Sergeant Tobyn in Varrock Square.

Sergeant Tobyn

  • Mark the guard outside Aris’ tent, south of Varrock center.

  • Mark the guard east of Varrock Square, who is not wearing a helmet and has long hair.

Guard 2 in Children of sun

  • Mark the guard leaning on the north wall of Lowe’s Archery Emporium, east of the square.

  • Mark the guard with a mace, northwest of the Varrock East bank.

  • Talk to Sergeant Tobyn and talk to him again on Varrock Castle’s roof to finish the quest.
