OSRS Ironman Woodcutting Guide: 1-99 Efficiently With Supplies

Woodcutting is an important skill, especially for Ironman. The logs obtained from training woodcutting are needed for training other skills like firemaking and construction, and it unlocks several activities in the game. Training woodcutting on ironman is quite similar to normal accounts, but there are still a few differences that have been discussed in this guide.

Lumberjack Outfit

The Lumberjack outfit is an experience-boosting clothing that gives the player additional woodcutting experience if worn while training woodcutting. This additional experience ranges from 0.2-0.8%, depending on the piece worn. Wearing the full set adds an extra set bonus of 0.5%, for a total of 2.5%

The fastest way to get this full outfit is through the Temple Trekking minigame. Alternatively, it can be purchased from the Forestry shop. The full set costs 5,000 Anima-infused bark, 100 maple logs, 620 yew logs, 360 magic logs, and 120 redwood logs at this shop.

Woodcutting Guild

woodcutting guild

The woodcutting guild is very beneficial when training woodcutting. While inside the guild, the player will receive an invisible +7 level boost to their woodcutting level. Players are required to have at least 60 woodcutting before they are allowed into the woodcutting guild. It also contains 11 trees, 4 Oak trees, 7 Willow trees, 13 Maple trees, 17 Yew trees, 8 magic trees, and 2 Redwood trees.

Axes

An axe is the most important item in woodcutting; the type of axe you use will determine how fast you chop logs. You should always switch to a better axe as you soon as you get the required woodcutting level.

axes

These axes can be bought from different shops in OSRS. Bob’s Brilliant Axes is a popular place where iron men can buy bronze axes, Iron axes, and steel axes; they cost 16 GP, 56 GP, and 200 GP respectively. Mithril, Adamant, and Rune Axes can be bought from Perry’s Chop-chop shop in the woodcutting guild for 1,664 GP, 4096 GP, and 40,960 GP respectively.

Dragon Axe

The Dragon Axe is the second-fastest in OSRS. It is 10% more efficient at chopping logs than the rune axe. The fastest method to obtain this axe is by killing the Dagannoths ( Daganoth Prime, Dagannoth Rex, Dagannoth Supreme); it can be obtained at a 1/128 rate from killing any of these. It can also be gotten from playing the Wintertodt at a rate of 1/10,000.

Crystal Axe

The Crystal axe is the best axe for training woodcutting in OSRS. it requires 71 woodcutting and completion of Song of the Elves to create and use, with 50 agility and 70 attack to wield it. Players can create this axe through a singing bowl by combining a dragon axe, 120 crystal shards, and a crystal tool seed

Wintertodt

If you don’t have enough coins to buy the best axe for your woodcutting level, you should fight Wintertodt. You will get woodcutting experience, and the supply crates rewarded after each round have a chance of giving the player coins when opened. The wintertodt is a popular boss that can be killed using skills rather than combat. Players are required to have at least 50 firemaking before they can participate in the fight. You can find how to play the wintertodt and woodcutting experience rates on our extensive guide.
