Tears of Guthix is a weekly Distraction & Diversion in Old School RuneScape that rewards players with free experience in their lowest skill. It’s a great passive XP source—especially useful for unpopular skills like Runecrafting or Hunter. In this guide, you'll learn how to access the minigame, optimize your time, and which worlds are best to use for maximum efficiency.
Tears of Guthix is a once-per-week minigame that gives players XP in their lowest-level skill based on how many blue tears they collect from magical rifts inside a cave.
It's great for Ironmen and skillers looking to passively train neglected skills.
The minigame takes place in Lumbridge Swamp Caves, in a special cave that opens after completing the Tears of Guthix quest.
If entering manually, bring a light source and a spiny helmet to avoid cave bugs.
Remember, if you have any weapons or anything in your defense slot, it won't let you through. So once we're inside, we must try to get as many points as possible within the time limit. We must focus on clicking the blue circles, which fill our bowl with tears, and ignore the green ones, because they give us less exp, just don't look at them and that's it.
Tears flow from various wall crevices. The rifts change locations, so be ready to move quickly. Each tear collected gives a small amount of XP in your lowest skill.
Using a dedicated world with fewer players means less lag and fewer tear spawns being occupied.
It helps you level up that skill that you've always hated and left unleveled.
